Lecture 2 - The logistic map

In this lecture we discussed the properties of the logistic map.

$$ x_{n+1}=\lambda x_{n}(1-x_{n})\quad\text{with}\quad n=0,1,2,3… $$

We discussed the origin of this simple one-dimensional discrete time map, learned about fixpoints, their stability and how the logistic map can exhibit chaotic behavior by the process of period doubling.
