# Lecture: Introduction to Complex Systems

This page contains all the information related to the module’s lecture Introduction to Complex Systems. The first part of the lecture will cover required theoretical and mathematical techniques. These are compiled in the mathematical backbone document (see below). ### Theoretical Foundation

Throughout the course we will use a few basic principles from dynamical systems theory (fixed points, linear stability analysis, limit cycles, etc.) and random walk theory (diffusion equation, central limit theorem etc.). This file

collects some of the basic principles that are required to manage this course. Be careful. This document needs to be proofread still and may contain a number of typos.
